Breaking Standards

Benjamin de Aguiar by the Spirit Egberto of Alexandria.

Break the standards, but do not break yourself.

Be flexible about concepts and customs, but respect the structures of your fundamental principles and values – not to do it, would be self-violence.

Be patient with yourself, but be careful with the excess of self-indulgence, which will lead you to diverse excesses and senseless decisions, bringing misadjustment and unhappiness.

End, once for all, with the procrastinating accommodation. Do now what you have to do and avoid cheap excuses that prevent you from facing the truth.

You can definitely win, if you want, but you have to start with the victory over yourself, which is neither easy, nor immediate.

Elaborate your losses and fill the lack of meaning in your life. They propiciate existential tragedies, until you wake up and do not see them anymore, even when the worse happens, because you can see the light behind darkness, and the good beyond all evil.

Lastly, do not flatter yourself, or congratulate yourself, when not feeling the circumstances are appropriate, from a common sense perspective.

Encourage yourself to go on and win.

Forgive yourself and allow yourself to start over, but do not adulate your ego, so that it does not grow too big and end up devouring you.

You are the owner of the self, but be careful so that the self does not become a golden cage, where you withdraw from others and make yourself impermeable to the other’s truth. An always enriching and hopeful truth.
