The Sacred and the pathetic

Hope is a moral duty – lucid faith constitutes its possible corollary, with the inner work of reflection, of spiritual search and devotional practices, in a systematic and tireless commitment over long periods of time…

Ordinarily, no one obtains an elementary school diploma without dedicating successive years of daily study to it. No one acquires proficiency in any professional area of activity without training and developing specific skills, which often, to achieve excellence, demand decades of diligence, effort and sacrifices that are difficult to measure.

How could anyone who is used to a mature, sensible and intelligent approach presume that the most complex of all cognitive functions – the expanded perception of reality, which encompasses transcendentality – could be achieved with a few brief incursions of superficial doubts and contestations at a level of simplicity equivalent to the experience that opposes it: the fanatical belief.

Only narrow minds, stuck in the animal senses, assume that mocking Spirituality and Divinity does not fall within the narrow spectrum of arrogance, presumption, blasphemy and, commonly, pathetic callowness.

The authentic mystical experience of the Sacred requires time, a lot of time… centuries… millennia…
