Happiness is…

Happiness is…

Happiness is the result of a conduct guided by decency toward others, coherence with oneself, devotion to God, through the fulfillment of one’s own vocation.

(Spirit Gustavo Henrique

Happiness is intelligence and creativity, a lighthearted spirit and tranquility, in the effort to offer the best for the common good, fulfilling the purpose designated by a Great Force for one’s own existence, inside or outside of physical bodies.

(Spirit Dr. Temístocles)

Happiness is to be yourself, without hypocrisy, with focus on the ideal. Other than that, my dear… you are… – censored word, but which I refuse to replace with an elegant substitute.

(Spirit Roberto Daniel)

Happiness is the meticulous orchestration of the entire psychological constellation, so that each sub-personality that composes the total-Self has the opportunity to manifest itself, through the filters of priorities that are determined by the Divine-Self, the individual’s ultimate Core. The playful or spoiled child, the famished yet pure animal, the welcoming and inspiring femininity, the valiant and executive warrior, all brought together by the inner sage.

(Spirit Dr. Demétrius)

Happiness is to have the heart in harmony with Jesus, through the continuous and varied practice of charity toward any creature of the Lord.

(Spirit Sister Brígida)

Happiness is to be practical in meeting, with balance, the various dimensions of oneself: physical, psychological, professional, social, with reasonable and, as far as possible, modest expectations, so that envy or narcissistic fantasies do not replace the principle of prioritizing what matters, above all: what concerns the immortal Spirit, because, this way, as Jesus taught, all other things shall be added unto you.

(Spirit Lucas Desiderium)

Happiness is to always tell the truth to yourself, to adjust the truth according to the perceptive abilities of each person, to hide the truth from the wicked and cynical ones. And, as the forefront life goal, to seek, with passion and perseverance, higher levels of truth, because personal truth is invariably relative, distorted, limited and does not dismiss the endless contributions of spiritual evolution in infinite degrees toward the Eternal and Absolute Truth of God!…

(Spirit Egberto de Alexandria)

Happiness is devotion to the family, be it biological, the one of friends of the heart or the entire humanity, at the level of understanding each one has of this concept.

(Spirit Elvira Dias)

Happiness is not to obey external expectations, but to obey the claims of one’s own nature or personal mission. And to respond, with courage and determination, to all the consequent demands of the inevitable and systematic adversities that arise for those who have the audacity to not give in to moral or dominant values in a particular time or culture in which one is inserted.

(Spirit Renato Otaviano)

Happiness is to be logical enough to understand that logic does not cover the whole complexity of life, and that only with openness to the suprarational is it possible to have a more realistic and complete notion of the inextricable subjectivity that permeates the universe of God. In short: adopt a worldview that includes the Divine in the Creation, or you will have to face the anguish of chaos and life’s lack of meaning of your own existence’s substantial insignificance, of the total lack of worth of your own consciousness…

(Spirit Clóvis Mozart Teixeira)

Happiness is self-knowledge and everything related to it: psychotherapy, the study of spiritual matters, the engagement in support groups for the realization of projects concerning urges of the soul that are perceived as fair and good.

(Spirit Dr. Lidiane)

Happiness is daily prayer, attendance to a religious group of one’s own preference, weekly therapy, daily study of the Gospel and… discernment!… what Jesus called “take heed”, because it is always very easy to be seduced by the waves of the moment…

(Spirit Maria Luíza)

Happiness is the complete dedication to what one believes, perceives or senses to be the Will of God for oneself, adjusting this understanding uninterruptedly, in accordance to new acquired knowledge, with experience accumulated with time. The Will of God, if correctly interpreted, essentially represents what is best for the individual and for the collectivity.

(Spirit Matheus-Anacleto)

Happiness is a universal right, a duty to oneself, a karma-challenge for the most lucid, a thermometer that signals a better path to follow. But it will never be immediate, constant or irresponsible joy, because only in the efforts to transcendence and in the answered appeals of love, through the channels of wisdom and service to the common good, can one, really, be happy!

(Spirit Eugênia-Aspásia)
